TPWD – The Great Flood of ’78

This month is the 40th anniversary of the worst flood in Palo Duro Canyon’s recorded history. Come to the Visitor Center to hear a short talk on the event, see some never-before-seen photos from the flood, and hear from the photographer who took those photos.

Prepare: Come ready to learn.

Meet: At the park’s Visitor Center, located 3/4 of a mile inside the park entrance.

Fees: Regular park entrance fees ($5 per adult, children 12 & under are free). No charge for this program.
