Davis Mountains State Park

Join us on a guided walk to find and birds, plants, sights and sounds at one of the most beautiful places in the Big Bend Region! This walk is for all visitors, young or old who wants to learn about wildlife, the park, and its bird life. Bring water, two-hour easy trail walk.

Take a Homeless Dog on a Hike!

Davis Mountains State Park

This popular program continues this year each Thursday at 9 am. Meet at the Interpretive Center to walk an adoptable dog from the local Grand Companions animal shelter. Give these dogs a great experience while maybe making a forever 4-legged friend! Wear sturdy shoes Bring WATER! This program is approximately 1 hour.

Registered participants meet at the Headquarters Building the morning of February 24, 2018 at 8:00 am and the tour leaves promptly at 8:30 with an arrival time back at Headquarters Building at 4:30 pm.
